About Serious Sports Productions

HISTORY

SERIOUS SPORTS, at it’s core, is Hayes Permar and Chip Patterson.  Hayes’ numerous collaborations with THIRD FLOOR PRODUCTIONS have included work for CBS College Sports, Speed Channel, Current TV, Travel Channel, and others.  With Hayes writing and starring, and Chip assisting in both writing and production, Third Floor produced a sports-humor show pilot commissioned by CBS Sports Network (former CBS College Sports) in August 2009.

After collaborating on content for the college sports website BUSTERSPORTS.COM, Hayes and Chip founded SERIOUS SPORTS PRODUCTIONS in June 2010 to continue their efforts producing humorous and entertaining sports-related content.

In August 2010 Hayes and Chip teamed with Bomani Jones and Old Soul Productions.  The partnership has produced several viral YouTube promos, a weekly webisode series for The Score, and soon a new video content venture with SB Nation and Vox Media.

Hayes currently does full-time production for The David Glenn Show, an ACC-focused radio program syndicated across the state of North Carolina, and contributes to ACCSports.com.  Chip is a college football blogger at CBSSports.com, where he helps manage and contribute to the Eye On College Football Blog.

Do you really have a picture of Kazaam in your header? I can’t look at much on the site right now because i am at work and on the worst computer ever made (no flash, no audio, etc.). I will check it out later.
Can i get a piece on how everyone is praising the american soccer team right now? they were a minute thirty from being a huge disappointment. Does one goal really change things that much?

  2. Is that a picture of Ben Rothlisberger with….Smokey Robinson? that banner is really blurry but im pretty sure that’s Smokey Robinson

Josh Elliot does not belong in the same photoshop creation as shaq’s magnum opus “Kazam”.

If the influence of Tuffy Rhodes is truly among your foundational pillars, it may prove difficult for me to ever go more than ten minutes between visits to this website again.

    Apologies to Joe Walsh:

    ================

    Took the money
    Carolina Way
    Couldn’t be much dumber
    Went to Cali
    Didn’t pay my way
But that was all last summer

And we all used the tutor to write papers for the class
‘Cause the Carolina Way is easy sitting on your ass.

South Beach parties were here and South Beach parties were there
    Enjoying them everyday
Love to be where it’s sunny

Third down and long, Yates drops back for a pass
    Throwing the ball away
    Time to get my money

And we don’t need the boosters
Crying ’cause the sanctions are bad
‘Cause the Carolina Way pays better than the way we had

    Hey, hey, hey
